Gradually, the movement to make the bedroom a more special place is gaining momentum as more of us decide that we want more from this room. Many other countries are already ahead like the French who have always seen the bedroom as a place of sensuality and decorated it accordingly.
The main aspect of change if you remodel your master bedroom in to a more sensual place is the color scheme and you can achieve this by using shades of red, cream and peach. Whilst mirrors placed in unusual places can reflect candlelight and tropical plants can add an air of mystery. More people prefer the master bedroom to be a place where they can relax with a good book whether on the bed or in a comfy chair placed near the bed or a window to provide views.
The problem is getting the lighting just right as you do not want to have really bright lights in a bedroom but softer more relaxed shades that will not strain the eyes but still make it easy to read. Certain colors go well with a bedroom that is also being used as a reading room; shades of ivory for instance or the warmth of antique amber and relaxing slate blue. If you are trying to achieve a sanctuary effect when remodeling the master bedroom, then soft pillows, luxurious throws, landscape paintings and mirrors will promote private reflection.
Generally a relaxing lounge chair with a floor lamp and table will also work well if you want to use it as a reading room as well. Normally remodeling a master bedroom that is to serve this purpose will have picture frames placed strategically around with family or friends displayed in them. The most comfortable colors for a sanctuary style room are darker shades like chocolate brown, deep greens and cobalt blues which help make the room feel cozy.
Where space is not a problem then by placing a small television or writing desk, it can make the master bedroom feel like a place that you can completely retire to. It is not uncommon to place concealed fridges either in addition to tea or coffee making facilities which almost provide the feel of a quality hotel suite. Remodeling you master bedroom just requires a little imagination as these are only a few ideas for a room that should suit your needs and become a place you enjoy spending time.
